The assault resulted in the partial shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the T3 parking area.

An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.

These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Police detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals injured by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
